Janix Energy

Solutions For our Planet

WTE (Waste to Energy) is renewable energy from waste such as plastics, tires, forest debris, agricultural waste and other organic material, is quickly gaining recognition as a viable addition to many renewable portfolio standards (RPS) across the world. Janix Energy helps customers and communities harness the potential of waste energy by building power and cogeneration facilities that cleanly repurpose waste and generate usable products by means of specialized processes.

Currently, about 2.01 billion metric tons of municipal solid waste (MSW) are produced annually worldwide. The World Bank estimates overall waste generation will increase to 3.40 billion metric tons by 2050. An estimated 13.5% of today's waste is recycled and 5.5% is composted. World Bank-Sep 23, 2018 Reports estimate that between one-third and 40% of waste generated worldwide is not managed properly and instead dumped or openly burned.

Our mission is simple, to offset the devastating effect of waste on the planet.

How do we propose to do this?

The Sandwich Gasifier was invented and patented by researchers at the Energy & Environmental Research Center (EERC), a branch of the DOE.

Gasifiers use heat to transform complex materials into a synthetic gas (syngas) that can be used as fuel to run electrical generators or it can be recombined to produce liquid fuels for the client: (e.g., methanol, ethanol, ... gasoline, diesel, JP-8). The Sandwich Gasifier is named after its unique design that enables it to completely gasify materials regardless of composition. ( e.g., wet vs. dry; high vs. low energy).
Because the Sandwich Gasifier can convert virtually all of the feedstock material into clean syngas, it leaves behind virtually no unconverted char, tar, or particulates that might otherwise foul the interior structures of the system.

Sandwich Gasifiers provide clients with flexible feedstock and output options to meet client and site-specific needs to enhance profitability.

Sandwich Gasifiers are scalable –enabling them to be located closer to where the waste is produced, greatly reducing transportation costs.

Gasification does not promote formation of dioxins or furans, plus it has near-zero emissions and effluent discharge capabilities.

The uniformly high reaction temperatures in the Sandwich Gasifier achieve near complete carbon conversion of in-situ tar and char into clean syngas.

No need for: secondary carbon/char converters, large syngas scrubbers, waste disposal systems, or extensive syngas processing.

Lower capital/operating costs and higher productivity of Sandwich Gasifiers enhance profits and improve sustainability of client operations.

Janix Energy and our associates are working with experienced engineering, manufacturing, project management, feedstock research and testing partners for delivering client-specific waste conversion technology for commercial use.

Janix Energy is proud to represent this waste conversion technology, which is, feedstock-flexible due to its patented reaction zone arrangement. The technology is peer-reviewed by global experts in the field. Its distinguishing feature is its capability of achieving complete conversion into clean syngas, and composition suitable for the production of variety of liquid fuels, chemicals, and electricity.
